On Friday, Michael Page, Workforce Development Manager, ran 44 kilomteres in the wind and rain, from Findon to Hope Valley eagerly supported by lots of staff and residents at the two homes.
The run was to bring attention to resilience and older persons’ mental health as well as bushfire relief.
It was a great day and our Facebook page will feature lots of photos, videos and stories. A big thank you to our donors and our suppliers who came out to the 25km mark (Hospitality Catering Hardware’s Tim) and Anne from Bid Food at the 38km mark with Chef Adam and Kamal as well as Vince from maintenance. Staff manned aid stations at 10km, 20km, 25km and 38km and Rohin Verma and Deepti Sudhir both ran 7 km with Michael and Pooja Newman ran the last leg up Awoonga Road to help Michael finish with a sprint!
At 11am with Michael approaching the 20km mark staff and residents clapped for 20 seconds (the time it takes to wash hands) to thank social and healthcare workers around the World and our own Ananda STARS.

COVID-19 survey – preliminary results
Thank you for responding to our survey on how Ananda is doing in response to the COVID-19 emergency. While there have been two or three negative responses the vast majority of residents, representatives and staff are very satisfied with the response. Currently the overall satisfaction with 34 responses is a pleasing 8.9/10 (89%) satisfied.
