For the first time Ananda opened up its restaurants late on the last 2 Fridays with guests eager to experience the inaugral ‘Fine Dining’ experiences.
The brief for our chefs was to provide an elegant, varied and exciting fine dining menu of three courses with wines, beers and other drinks accompanied by a classic elegance and ambience supported by music and laughter.
They certainly achieved that at Hope Valley on Friday 22nd March and at Findon on the 29th. You can see a video of the Findon evening here:
At Findon, Joyce and Gordon Watson were celebrating their 70 years together and the evening impressed.
“The food, the wine, the service, the music. All five star” enthused Mr Watson.
One family member of a resident at Hope Valley declared the food to be better than she experienced onboard the QE2!
And it wasn’t only the food that impressed with Dino’s signing and guitar virtuoso a hit at both events.
Food is a central part of everyone’s culture and something we look forward to and which structures our day. At Ananda we are focusing on choice, variety and importantly, the ambience/mood of the dining experience to help us improve in all these areas.
While we certainly will have more fine dining evenings we can continue to improve our already high quality meal services at both sites. The lessons learned were that we have a strong and passionate team which can deliver exceptional quality when working together and totally focused on the enjoyment of the resident.
A big thank you to the residents and family who attended and made both nights so special and also the dedicated work of all the staff involved from the kitchen to the front of house, all were Ananda Stars!
The aim now is to translate this philosophy into every interaction, every day, with every resident.
Shall we do it again? Bookings now being accepted by reception – or other suggestions please do let us know via the the Blue feedback forms!
